Low Cost Alternative to Cell Phones and Wireless Net

My first blog, ever. What's the world coming to?

I've had it. No more getting robbed of so much money each month for dropped calls and big promises with cell phones. What happened to the promise of good cell service and free wireless Internet?

I'm going to advocate for something for which I'll probably get in trouble. There has to be some very low cost, legal device that can be built that utilizes as yet unclaimed frequencies (if there are unclaimed frequencies) through which to communicate digitally - without contracts, without dead zones, without dropped calls, without a voice message coming through three days after the call.

No more!

What about people in developing countries? Let's make the technology to communicate free or at least affordable for as many people as possible.

What about the ionosphere? People bounce signals off it to reach far and away places, right? What about the moon? I don't care if I have to sit and crank a generator to get it to work. The answers are out there somewhere.

Thanks for entertaining some alternative ideas.
